For Ventus Lovers

Short story/oneshot

You made a dash to the mountain path where you, Ven (Ventus), Terra, and Aqua trained to be keyblade masters. Tomorrow's Terra's and Aqua's mark of mastery exam, you and Ven were too young to join.

You quickened your pace and looked at the sun rising up, you smiled. Without watching you bumped into someone, falling down to the ground.

"Sorry, _________," Ven said, extending his arm, you gladly took it.  You playfully punched his shoulder, he laughed childishly. You faced him, gazing into his tranquil, obsidian, soulful deep blue eyes. His golden locks were windswept; after all, he uses the power of the wind.

"Well, it looks like I'm not the only one waking up early. So what's keeping ya up?" you asked.

"I wanted to train, y'know. To become a keyblade master, that's all I've dreamed about being. Strong like Terra, good at using magic like Aqua, and wise like ya," he said, you giggled.

"Wise, do ya even know what you're talking 'bout Ven? It's me you're talking 'bout. Ya could've just said good friend for me," you said, but then again, you've had feelings for him. You loved him more than anything. You want him more than anything. But you know that will never happen, he thinks of you only as a friend, nothing more.

  "Hey, I've got an idea how 'bout we par? Whataya say? First person to lose has gotta stand under the small waterfall for an hour or two," Ven said, you puffed your cheeks.

"No way, y'know I'll lose," you pouted.

"Are ya scared of losing?" Ven retorted slyly

"N-no,"

"Chicken," Ven said.

"Mule," you retorted

"Oh, you're so a chicken. You'll grow feathers sooner or later. Bawk bawk bawk bok," Ven taunted you, pissing you off.

"Oh, it is so on," you said drawing out your keyblade, while Ven drew Wayward Wind.
It was a tough match and you and Ven both lost equally for six matches, but you soon defeated Ven on the seventh match with your shotlock command.

"Man, I LOST! What a bummer" Ven said going to stand under the small waterfall. You laughed.

Ven said that you should go back, but you stayed with him, keeping him company. You chatted a lot. It was fun, but Ven had this funny look on his face.

"Hey, you okay Ven?"

"Yeah," he said

"Get out of the water first, then we'll talk again," Ven nodded and you both sat on a bench.

"Hey, __________, do you like anyone?" Ven asked. That caught you off guard. Well of course you like Ven but that was preposterous you could never tell him.

"Yeah, I like someone. So, what a 'bout you, ya like anyone?" you ask

"Yeah," Ven said.

"Who's the lucky girl?"

 "You, I love you, __________" Ven said, you were taken aback.

"Wha-"but you were cut off when Ven's lips crashed into yours. The kiss was soft and sweet. It wasn't long before you started kissing him back. You intertwined your fingers in his hair, while his arms were wrapped around your waist. You stopped for some air.

"What the heck?" You said, laughing and gasping for air at the same time.

The lights around you shimmered and lit up, the sky darkened and you heard footsteps, Aqua's and Terra's footsteps. You didn't know that it was already six hours. Since time flies fast here.

"Let's keep this a secret how 'bout it" Ven said, quickly getting up and getting into fighting mode. He drew his keyblade once again.

"Yeah, let's," you agreed. Ven gave you a quick peck on the cheek before paring with you once again. As the darkness thickened, the lights grew brighter like a million fireflies. And as the lights danced around both of you, you could make out Ven's Cheshire grin before Terra and Aqua came and started paring with both of you.
