Oneshot/short story

You opened the door to bar, slid off your cloak and hung it on a stand. You looked at your watch and it read 2 o'clock. You were low on cash and you figured to take a part-time job, and since this one gave a lot of cash, why not, right?

From behind the counter, the man who ran this place smiled and came over to you. He shook your hand. "You must be our newest worker, aren't you? I'm Mr. Philip McGregor, but please call me Philip."

You examined him closely. His age seemed to be around 30, more or less. His hair was a chocolate brown combed neatly, the exact colour as his eyes. He led you to the kitchen and then to a nearby stove.

"Can you cook?" Philip asked.

"Yes, I can," you answer and turn on the stove to cook an omelet to prove your point.

"Well, then you can be the cook here," Philip answered happily and you laughed at the man's childish side.

He then inspects at you and you look at him.

"Say, are you from Kingdom Hearts Academy?" Philip asked and you nodded.

"How'd you know?" you asked him.

"I've got an employee here who's working as a waiter from the same school. Let me call 'im," Philip said and disappeared momentarily.

Seconds later, he emerged with a man with familiar spiky redhead. You locked eyes with the jade orbs of none other than-

"Axel!?" you exclaimed.

"_____!?" Axel said.

"What the hell are you doing here?!" you and him said together, both in shock and disbelief.

"I guess you guys know each other pretty well," Philip answered.

Both of you told Philip how you and him are best friends.

"Oh, so _____ got accepted in school because of her grades," Philip answered and you nodded.

"So, what brings you here?" Axel asked.

"I'm low on cash," you answer.

"Oi, stop talking and get to work now," Philip ordered and you immediately ran to your stations.

It was quite a day, cooking for all the customers. Yes, it was tiring but it was worth it, plus, Axel would come in the kitchen often and smile at you.

After the last customer went and Philip flipped the sign from 'open' to 'close', he distributed the money.

"Great work you two, here's you wage," Philip said, giving each of you 150 bucks and stuffing the leftover 200 bucks in his pocket.

You both waved goodbye and you started going to the Academy to sleep in your dormitory.

"Hey, wait up, let me walk you the Academy, since I sleep there too," Axel offered and you nod. On the way, you tell him about your family and your private stuff, since he was your best friend.

"Oh, I'm sorry about your parents," Axel answered sorrowfully.

"Its fine wasn't your fault they passed away," you said and stopped outside your dorm. You bid him goodnight and he smiled.

"Hey, do you want to go out with me tomorrow?" Axel asked; cheeks flushed a vivid red.

"Sure, that would be nice," you say.

"Great, I'll meet you under the clock tower 'kay," Axel said.

"Okay," you say and he gives you a small kiss on the cheek before scampering to his room.
